Weight management & Emotion

Weight management & Emotion

” I was never fat, until I started dieting  ”  Ruth Cotton

Weight management takes many forms and creates many emotions !

You get more laughs, jokes and emotion about weight than you ever do about money !

For some it is easy, the realisation that their body is not as healthy as they would like, therefore they rectify the situation by realigning their diet, and are aware of the need to eat healthily.

Some over time, put on weight, but they delude themselves that it isn’t much, so continue in their bad habits.

Others look in the mirror, decide they need to lose weight and start on a health “kick” !

This usually means making a diet plan, working out menus, going and buying lots of fruit and veg, cutting out all the things that they like, but have eaten in more than moderation.

Strict régime, deprivation  creating the feeling of loss and that’s before there’s any mention about weight.

Eating becomes an issue, not an enjoyable part of life !

Then with a great fanfare, the ” diet” is rolled out and the family watch as the special meals are prepared.

  • All of these big gestures continue for a while, then
  •   life steps in,
  •  throws a spanner in the works
  • and all plans  and good intentions go out the window !!

But it is just that, intention, not a comprehensive plan addressing all walks of life, mind as well as body.

Whatever is decided  HAS to be sustainable.

Most ” diets” fail as they have un realistic targets, unrealistic &  unsustainable methods.

The plan has to be encompassed by the whole being, not just a quick fix.

Weight management isn’t about a great fanfare, it’s about life .

The romantic view of going to the local market on a daily basis and picking up fresh fruit &  veg is wonderful in films, granted a few can sustain that, but the majority of us can’t .

Life gets in the way ! Deadlines, meetings, school run, shopping etc, to name but a few challenges

Grabbing something that sustains for five minutes or a quick sugar fix becomes a norm.

Eating healthily sometimes needs a helping hand.

Many people need support, there are not many who are self motivated enough to ” go it alone”

We as human beings, have this need to share, to be in contact with others and to see progress not only in how they feel, but in a visual form of results.

When it comes to fitness and weight consciousness it can be a noisy and confusing world out there.

Many products and programmes compete for your attention and some can take an unrealistic one-size-fits all approach to helping you.

FitChoice engages both your body and your brain, so you can reset your habits and attitudes and make long-term, sustainable lifestyle changes.

Neways created the FitChoice Programme knowing that it is important to develop life-long healthy eating and exercise habits that will help you reset your habits and make long-term, sustainable lifestyle changes.

One key is identifying patterns in your life so you can decide where to make changes.

As part of your FitChoice programme, use the online journal to keep track of what you eat and the circumstances surrounding your eating.

Doing this will help you become more aware of your eating habits, so you can mindfully adjust these habits as needed to meet your goals.

For each day, make sure you record everything you eat and answer the questions about how you felt, who you ate with, and how aware you were of your hunger and fullness.

The journal also includes places for recording your physical activity and your FitChoice supplementation.

As you track your eating behaviour and make adjustments, you will see progress.

To access these tools, including the journal,  take the Find Your Path Self-Assessment

Here is a real “app”, not a virtual, that helps you be you ! .

Here you have your questions answered by a real person who understands the need for support !
